Privacy Policy

The short version

DevEssentials is a collection of developer tools that runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data or the content you process with our tools. Your data never leaves your device.

Data we do not collect

  • The content you paste, type or upload into any tool
  • Passwords, tokens, keys or any sensitive data you check or generate
  • Your IP address or location
  • Browser fingerprint or device information
  • Usage patterns or analytics

Local storage

Some tools save your last input to your browser's localStorage so your work is not lost when you navigate away or refresh the page. This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time using the clear button in each tool, or by clearing your browser's local storage.

Your theme preference (light or dark mode) is also saved in localStorage.

Third-party services

DevEssentials does not use any third-party analytics, advertising or tracking services. The site is hosted on Vercel, which may log basic request metadata (IP address, request path, timestamp) for infrastructure and security purposes. See Vercel's Privacy Policy for details.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. The site may use a session cookie strictly necessary for serving the application, set by our hosting provider.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. We will never introduce data collection without clearly communicating it.
